Classes- Our classes fill up quickly. If a class does not show FULL, please submit the pre-registration form and pay the $100 deposit online for your selected course.
Behind the Wheel Sessions- Behind the wheel sessions are scheduled after the student successfully completes the classroom course.
Road Skills Testing- Please submit a request to the text “app” 985-551-4022. “Hello, I am in need of a road skills test.” Follow the text prompts and instructions, and We will respond with the next available appointment.

38 HOUR DRIVER EDUCATION COURSE
The 38 hour course is designed for individuals between 14 years and 9 months and 17 years old who desire to acquire a driver’s license. This course includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours of behind the wheel instruction. Students must attain an 80% average on all quizzes including the final exam for the 30 hour course. Classes are offered monthly. Registration for this course may be completed online. All fees must be paid in full before instruction begins.

The 38 hour course is for teens ages 17 and under and includes 30 hours of classroom instruction (including DMV written test) and 8 hours of behind the wheel driving instruction with the student as the operator of a dual-controlled motor vehicle. Pre-Registration is required for this course which can be completed under the (Pre-registration tab). Students must be at least 14 years and 9 months old to begin the driver education course. However, students cannot begin the behind-the-wheel driving portion until the age of 15. A Temporary Instruction Permit is required for this course (See Policies Tab) Upon successful completion of this course, students receive a certificate of completion. 15 & 16 year old applicants may apply for a learner's permit. 17 year old applicants may proceed to take the Road Skills Test to receive a full driver's license. A $100 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit secures a student's seat for this course. The $400 balance is to be paid in full on or before the first day of class.
14 HOUR PRELICENSING COURSE
8 HOUR BEHIND THE WHEEL ONLY
Fee: $300
This course is offered to individuals who desire to only take the behind wheel portion of the driver education courses. This course is behind-the-wheel instruction only. An original copy of the student’s learner's permit is required. If student does not have a learner's permit, A Temporary Instruction Permit is required for this course (See Policies Tab) as well as a copy of the 30 hour or 6 hour course completion certificate before driving instruction can commence. Individuals must be at least 15 years of age. Students will be trained in a dual-brake training vehicle by a state approved driving instructor. Students will be assessed on the final day of the behind the wheel instruction and must attain at least a 70% for the behind the wheel skills assessment. The fee for this service is to be paid in person at the driving academy.
ROAD SKILLS TESTING
Fee: $60 FOR ALL APPLICANTS
Star Driving Academy is licensed by the Office of Motor Vehicles to administer 3rd party road skills test. The Road Skills Test is the final driving assessment that is required before an applicant receives an intermediate license or full driver's license. 16 is the minimum age requirement to take this test; however, 16 year olds must have learner's permit for at least 180 days. A passing score of 80% is required before an applicant earns the certificate of completion for the road skills test.

Causes an Accident, Speeding over 5 MPH, Runs a Traffic Signal or Red Light, Does not come to a complete stop at a Stop Sign, Display Dangerous Actions / Incidents / Distractions, Does not follow traffic laws.
4 HR DEFENSIVE DRIVING
Fee: $60
The Defensive Driving Course is offered for individuals ages 17 and above who are ordered, or would like to receive defensive driving instruction. This course may be offered to organizations as well. Upon completion of the course, applicants will receive a certificate of completion from us. Submit this certificate to required parties for proof of course completion. Registration for this class may be completed by calling Star Driving Academy.

This course includes 6 hours of classroom instruction (including DMV written test) and 8 hours of behind the wheel driving instruction with the student as the operator of a dual-controlled motor vehicle. Pre-registration is required for this course which can be completed under the
(Pre-Registration tab.) Upon successful completion of this course, students receive a certificate of completion and may proceed to take the Road Skills Test to receive a full driver's license. A $100 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit secures a student's seat for this course. The $300 balance is to be paid in full on or before the first day of class.
